“We spent a week with Daniela and co as part of an organised trip. From the minute we came in the door, we were greeted with a smile, and the entire staff could not do any more to make us feel welcome or help with our trip. We got dropped down to bus stops, bike hire organised, itineraries suggested etc. Donnato at the bar, and Micheala at breakfast were so attentive, and we felt like we were staying with family while we were in the hotel. Rooms were comfy and so clean, and meals were ideal for fueling and refueling after a great day on the trails.

“Daniela and mitto run a friendly hotel with a family feel to it. Ski in ski out made life very easy, and found food excellent, especially given that there were 53 of us. Owners always available for advice and even offered to pick me and my 3yr old daughter from the cable car. Renovations made in past year have given more space and a lighter feel to the decor. This is my 3rd ski trip to this hotel and I have enjoyed them all.”

“I recently welcomed 2018 in with family and friends on a return visit to the Sonnenburg Hotel.
From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and at home thanks to Dani and Mido who are the most perfect hosts! Always on hand to help and advise and always cheerful, nothing is ever a problem or too much trouble! A special mention for Donato also who takes everything in his stride, he and all the team looked after us so well.
The hotel has been recently refurbished and had a fabulous new terrace added but still manages to retain all it’s cosiness and warmth....a great tribute to all. Every aspect provides a different breathtaking view and the lovely village, with restaurants & shops is just an easy 10 minute walk away. Whether it’s doorstep skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer The Sonnenburg has it all”

Dani and Mido are the world’s best hosts (only other place I’ve been that takes as good care of their guests is on safari at Tswalu in South Africa!).
